With 35 years experience in coaching and playing professionally I have a unique approach to teaching music. In my sessions we’ll work with breathe, body, improvisation and vocal/musical techniques that nurture the unique creativity of every individual who is willing to say ‘Yes’. Whether you want to play the piano or sing your heart out, we’ll explore the possibilities and freedom of no wrong notes, inspiring you to express yourself through sound.

When I work with new students, I recommend coming for an initial introduction session. We can discuss options, best suited to your aspirations and how that would work, before proceeding with a series of lessons.

FAQ’s

Who do you teach? Anyone who wants to learn, ages 6 to 80’s - my oldest student is in his 80s’!

What level do you teach? Beginners to advanced. I start wherever you are now, up to wherever you want to go.

Where do the lessons take place? Face to face at my studio in Long Sutton, Somerset or Online, via Zoom.

Can you take me through my Piano grades? Yes, I offer preparation for both ABRSM and Trinity Grades, for Piano, Jazz Piano , Singing, Musical Theatre, Pop and Rock Vocals.

How many people are in a class? These classes are taught 1-2-1. For group classes, check out my workshops page

How much does it cost? Fees start at £17.50 for 30 minute weekly lessons.

Termly lessons £35 per hour, weekly .  

‘One-off ‘ 60 min sessions - £37.00

How long is a term? For adults the term consists of  6 x  lessons, which may be taken fortnightly or weekly. For school aged students, term dates coincide with the UK  Somerset School Term.

What happens if I miss a class?

Rescheduled lessons must be made in advance to be taken in the same week . This depends on availability and missed lessons are not guaranteed to be made up . My studio policy allows 1 rescheduled lesson per term rearranged by you. Lessons missed due to illness or cancellation on the day are not refundable or credited.
